Karbala Arba'een 2026 — registration is now open
Our 8-day Arba'een tour to Najaf and Karbala departs 25 August. Limited seats this year; here's what you need to know before you book.
Registration for FEH Kuwait's annual Arba'een tour is now open. The 8-day journey departs 25 August 2026 from Kuwait City and returns 1 September 2026, covering Najaf and Karbala with a small, dedicated group of zaaereen and the same trip leadership we have travelled with for the last several seasons.
Below is what we share before bookings — read it carefully and reach out if anything is unclear.
What's included
- Return flights from Kuwait City via approved carrier (subject to availability at the time of booking).
- Visa processing for Iraq — handled centrally; we collect documents from you in advance.
- Hotel accommodation in Najaf (3 nights) and Karbala (4 nights), within a comfortable walking distance of the haram in both cities.
- All ground transport — airport transfers, the journey between Najaf and Karbala, and short transfers within the cities.
- Daily breakfast and dinner at the hotel; lunch is on your own so the group can eat at the timings they prefer.
- FEH Kuwait trip leadership with you on the ground every day — for ziyarat, logistics, and any pastoral support during the trip.
- A printed daily schedule with ziyarat timings, salaat timings, and recommended dua sequences for each shrine.
What's not included
- Lunch and any meals outside the hotel.
- Personal expenses, gifts, niyaaz purchases.
- Travel insurance — required, but to be arranged by you. We can suggest reputable providers.
- Tips for hotel and bus staff (we collect these as a group at the end of the trip — usually a modest amount).
Pricing
This year's pricing is age-banded so families travel together at fair rates. The current published tier for adults is shown on the booking page; child and infant tiers are calculated automatically when you add travellers. There are no hidden surcharges — what you see at booking is what you pay.
How to book
Booking is online through this portal. You will:
- Sign in with your ITS ID.
- Open the Arba'een tour and click Book this tour.
- Add yourself and any family members you are booking for. We will only show people from your family circle and the groups you belong to — privacy is preserved.
- Upload current passports and any other required documents (the system tells you which).
- Choose your payment method — KNET or bank transfer — and confirm.
Bookings are fully confirmed only after admin review and payment verification. Until then, your booking is held as pending.
Documents needed
- Passport with at least six months' validity beyond the return date.
- Two recent colour photographs (white background) — uploaded as scans through the portal.
- Civil ID copy.
- Confirmed flight medical fitness, if you have any chronic condition.
Cancellation and refunds
Our cancellation policy follows our published terms. Bookings cancelled with sufficient notice are eligible for a refund net of the visa-processing cost (which is incurred upfront and is non-recoverable from the consulate). Refunds for cancellations within 14 days of departure are reviewed individually.
Group size and what makes this tour different
We deliberately keep group size small. A few honest words on what that means in practice: the bus is comfortable; there is room for personal time; the trip leadership knows your name by the second day; and ziyarat is not rushed.
If you have travelled the large-coach Arba'een routes before, you will notice the difference within the first hour at Karbala.
Who to contact
Questions about the trip itself, the booking process, or special requests (dietary, mobility, room preferences) — write to us through the contact form on the home page, or WhatsApp the FEH Kuwait office number. We read every message and respond within the working day.
This year's Arba'een marks 1448 H. We look forward to walking with you.
